Stubb - Gangar - Audio CD (Arrives in 50 days)

After releasing their EP "Tre Danser" in 2021, the Norwegian folk rock band Gangar finally follows up with their anticipated debut album "Stubb". The album title is taken from their former band name: Gangarstubbgutta. The energetic album is a result of several years of hard and detailed work. "Stubb" is a collection of the repertoire the group has worked on, and often performed live in recent years, with guest appearances from top performers and close friends in the Norwegian folk music scene. Gangar combines traditional Norwegian folk music with grooving rock and jazz, creating a new and exciting sound in in the process. Inspired by bands like AC/DC, Hoven Droven and ZZ Top, Gangar make old traditional Norwegian melodic folk tunes available to a wider (pop/rock) audience, without compromising to the original material. Frontman and fiddler Mattias Thedens finds the melodies in old archive recordings, and then the band members arrange them together. The 5 band members' different musical backgrounds add the extra spice that takes the party to a new level - the result is a cannonball of young and wild energy you won't forget and makes it hard for any audience and listener to keep their feet off the dance floor!
