The History Mix Volume 1 - Godley & Creme - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

With 'The History Mix Volume 1,' Godley & Creme deconstruct and reassemble their own musical past, crafting a wildly inventive pop collage that is as much a celebration as it is a reinvention. Formed from the creative core of 10cc, the duo employs sampling and early digital technology to splice together fragments of their earlier works—twisting melodies, vocals, and rhythms into a kaleidoscopic narrative. Tracks like 'Cry' blend sharp pop sensibilities with uncanny audio manipulation, while the epic 'Wet Rubber Soup' is a masterclass in sonic storytelling. The album’s playful irreverence masks a deep respect for musical craft, making it a fascinating listen for anyone who loves pop with a subversive edge. 'The History Mix Volume 1' isn’t just a retrospective; it’s a window into the experimental spirit of the 1980s, and a testament to Godley & Creme’s fearless approach to art. For collectors and adventurous listeners alike, this album is a genre-bending touchstone that rewards repeated spins with new discoveries each time.
