The Moldau - Bedřich Smetana Used Vinyl LP Record

This 1975 Deutsche Grammophon pressing of Bedřich Smetana’s “The Moldau” feels like opening a perfectly kept time capsule. The record is graded Very Good Plus, so the river of strings and woodwinds runs smooth, with that gentle analog texture collectors love. The sleeve is in Near Mint condition, bright yellow banner intact, corners sharp — the kind of spine that still pops on a shelf.

There’s something special about hearing this tone poem on vinyl: the quiet rustle before the needle lands, the gradual swell as the river theme first appears, and the sense of space you only seem to get from a well-mastered 33 RPM LP of this era. If you’re building a serious Western classical collection, this is one of those cornerstone pieces that says you care about both the music and the pressing.
