Originally released in 1970 by Mercury Records, Them Changes is the first solo album by Buddy Miles, former drummer of Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys and founding member of Electric Flag. After a few record with the Buddy Miles Express, the American vocalist, drummer, songwriter, and producer stepped into the spotlight with hispowerful fusion of soul, funk, and rock. Self-produced by Miles, the album features contributions form Stax legend Steve Cropper (Booker T.& the MG's). Its eight tracks form a soilful, electrifying set, filled with raw talent and emotion. Satndout cover include Neil Young's "Down by the River", Gregg Allman's "Dream", Otis Redding's Your Feeling Is Mine", and Rufus Thomas "Memphis Train". A hidden gem of the '70s, Them Changes reached #8 on the 1970 Jazz Albums chart, #35 on the Billboard 2000, and #14 on the 1971 R&B Albums chart.
