Undercurrent - Kenny Drew - Vinyl LP Record (Arrives in 20 days)

Undercurrent shows Kenny Drew as a master tactician of modern swing. The piano is sharp, restless, always in motion, sparring with Hank Mobley’s fluid tenor and Freddie Hubbard’s cutting trumpet. Sam Jones provides a solid bass foundation, while Louis Hayes keeps the tension alive. Nothing is decorative; every move serves the collective drive. A taut yet elegant record where hard bop flows underneath the surface, carried by authority, clarity, and tightly controlled energy.
