Nick Adema is a Canadian trombonist/composer currently based in Amsterdam. On his new album “Urban Chaos” he explores the turmoil of life and loss in the modern city. Adema lost his mother in late 2022, not long after relocating from Ottawa, Canada to Amsterdam. “Urban Chaos captures the feeling of moving back to the city after going through all of this mayhem,” Adema says. Focus track is “The Fool” feat. Noah Preminger on tenor saxophone accompanied by a string ensemble. The Fool is an uplifting jazz piece, that features a jazz quintet alongside an energetic string trio. This original modern jazz composition features warm chords, the feeling of dancing in your apartment, and forgetting about your worries.
