Weeknd – Highlights (CD) - Brand New - Audio CD (Quick Ship)

“Highlights” is exactly what its title promises: a sharp, curated sweep through The Weeknd’s evolution from underground enigma to global pop architect. Issued around his Super Bowl halftime era, this CD plays like a time-lapse of his sound—moody R&B shadows gradually flooded by fluorescent pop and sleek electronic edges.

You get the canonical hits that turned stadiums into late-night confessionals: the synth‑driven rush of his Max Martin collaborations, the wounded swagger of earlier breakout singles, and the cinematic, slow-burning cuts that made him a cult favorite long before the charts caught up. Heard together, these tracks map out how Abel Tesfaye bent pop radio toward his obsessions—loneliness, excess, and that uneasy space between desire and regret.

On CD, “Highlights” works beautifully as a front‑to‑back listen: no algorithm, no shuffle chaos, just a narrative arc you can sit with. It’s ideal if you’re building a physical collection and want a single disc that captures his most essential moments without hunting down every studio album. For fans of modern pop with a dark pulse and a sense of drama, this is a compact but revealing portrait of an artist reshaping the mainstream in his own image.
