Borboletta - Santana - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1974, 'Borboletta' marks a unique turning point in Santana’s ever-evolving sound. Inspired by the Portuguese word for 'butterfly,' this album drifts gracefully through sonic landscapes where jazz, rock, and Latin rhythms intermingle. The result is a deeply spiritual and experimental body of work—one that eschews radio hits for immersive, exploratory compositions. Standout tracks like 'Promise of a Fisherman' and 'Give and Take' showcase the band’s virtuosity, with Carlos Santana’s guitar lines floating above swirling keyboards and vibrant percussion. The influence of jazz fusion—guided by the likes of Weather Report and Return to Forever—is unmistakable, but it’s filtered through Santana’s distinctive, soulful sensibility. 'Borboletta' is a rewarding listen for those interested in the transformative power of music; it’s an album that invites reflection, exploration, and a sense of discovery with every spin. For vinyl collectors, this is not just a record—it’s a document of a band in flux, embracing new directions and spiritual depth. Whether you’re a longtime Santana devotee or a seeker of rare fusion gems, 'Borboletta' deserves a place at the heart of your collection.
