Dhamar: Raga Bihag · Zinjhoti · Darbari - Pt. K.G. Ginde Sealed Audio CD

For anyone who keeps late nights with khayal on repeat, this is one of those discs you quietly treasure. Pt. K.G. Ginde’s Dhamar renditions in Raga Bihag, Zinjhoti, and Darbari feel unhurried and deeply assured, like you’ve slipped into a front-row seat at an intimate mehfil. The Meera Music audio CD pressing is remarkably clean: recordCondition is Mint, with a coverCondition that’s also Mint, so it looks as fresh as the day it left the factory.

The slow, weighty swing of Dhamar tala against the elegance of these ragas makes this cd perfect for late-evening listening or focused riyaaz. Subtle tan-s, measured layakari, and Gindeji’s uncluttered approach give you space to actually follow the raga instead of getting lost in showmanship. If you’ve been hunting for a serious Indian classical vocal title that still feels personal and warm on a small stereo, this is it.
