Dhrupad Dhamar - Pt. K.G. Ginde Sealed Audio CD

For anyone who secretly judges a raga by its alaap, this one’s a quiet treasure. Pt. K.G. Ginde’s “Dhrupad Dhamar” (Meera Music, 2014) captures that unhurried, old-school grace you rarely hear on modern releases. Every phrase feels measured, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in the guru–shishya tradition.

This is a **cd** in true collector shape: recordCondition is Mint, and the coverCondition is Mint as well—no scuffs, no booklet wrinkles, just clean shelves-and-proud status. The recording has a warm, close mic feel, so you catch the subtle gamaks and breath work that usually get lost on average pressings.

If you grew up with All India Radio at dawn, this will feel oddly familiar; if you’re just getting into serious Indian Classical vocals, it’s a patient, dignified place to start. Spin it when the house is quiet and let the tanpura hum fill the room.
