Dhrupad Dhamar: Raga Chayanat (dhrupad), Kedar (dhamar) - Pt. K.G. Ginde Sealed Audio CD

Pt. K.G. Ginde’s voice on this Meera Music 2015 CD feels like a patient guru in your living room—no rush, no gloss, just unhurried dhrupad purity. Raga Chayanat unfolds with the kind of slow-blooming clarity you only get from a master who’s lived every phrase, while Kedar in dhamar taal brings that stately, pulse-like swing you catch yourself counting along to. This isn’t some over-compressed reissue; the recording lets the tambura breathe and the microtones sit exactly where they should. The disc itself is in Mint recordCondition and the coverCondition is also Mint, so it’s the sort of copy collectors quietly brag about owning. If you’ve been hunting for a serious Indian classical cd that rewards late-night, focused listening, this one earns its shelf space.
