Dhrupad: Raga Kedar (alap & dhrupad) - Pt. K.G. Ginde Sealed Audio CD

This Meera Music 2014 cd captures Pt. K.G. Ginde in a spacious, unhurried Raga Kedar that feels like a late-night baithak in your living room. The alap stretches out with quiet confidence, every phrase carefully weighed, while the dhrupad section lands with that earthy, resonant depth you rarely hear outside old concert recordings.

For a used title, it’s a gem: recordCondition is Mint and coverCondition is Mint, so the disc plays flawlessly and the artwork still looks crisp enough for a display shelf. No scuffs fighting the light, no booklet wear — just clean, archival-worthy presentation.

If you’re building a serious Indian Classical shelf, this is one of those understated releases that seasoned collectors nod knowingly about. It’s also a thoughtful entry point if you’re just starting to explore dhrupad and want clarity, nuance, and proper studio sound instead of murky bootlegs.
