Dream Theater – Octavarium (2xLP Coloured Vinyl Limited Edition) - Brand New - Vinyl LP Record (Quick Ship)

Octavarium is the sound of Dream Theater fully embracing the long-form possibilities of progressive rock in the 21st century. Released in 2005, the album bridges ferocious technicality with patient, slow-burn storytelling, culminating in the monumental 24-minute title suite that has become a cornerstone of their catalogue.

Across four sides of coloured vinyl, you get the band in widescreen: razor-sharp riffs, labyrinthine keyboard lines, and rhythmic turns that somehow still land with emotional weight. Tracks like “The Root of All Evil” and “Panic Attack” deliver the precision and power fans expect, while “Sacrificed Sons” and “The Answer Lies Within” reveal a more reflective, melodic edge.

This limited edition 2xLP pressing gives the music the breathing room it deserves. The dynamic shifts—from whispered passages to towering climaxes—feel more physical on vinyl, inviting you to sit with the album as a complete journey rather than a playlist of moments. For collectors, this is a key chapter in Dream Theater’s evolution; for new listeners, it’s an immersive entry point into modern prog rock, presented in a format that honours its ambition and scope.
