Eric Clapton Just One Night (SHM-2CD) - Brand New - Audio CD (Quick Ship)

“Just One Night (SHM-2CD)” captures Eric Clapton at a crucial turning point: confident, road-tested, and fully in command of his guitar voice. Recorded live at the Budokan in Tokyo in 1979, this set finds Clapton shaking off the ghosts of Cream and Derek & The Dominos and settling into a lean, rootsy rock and blues groove. You hear a musician who no longer needs to prove his virtuosity—so he simply plays, and the results are riveting.

The tracklist moves effortlessly from muscular rock workouts to slow-burning blues, with a band that listens hard and leaves space. Solos stretch, but never meander; there’s a conversational feel between guitar, keys, and rhythm section that makes the crowd almost feel like a fourth member. The SHM (Super High Material) CD pressing adds extra appeal for collectors, offering enhanced clarity and presence that flatters the warmth of this late‑70s live recording.

This edition is for listeners who want Clapton not as a studio construct, but as a living, reacting player on stage. If you’re building a serious rock or blues‑leaning vinyl and CD collection, this is one of those live documents that quietly becomes a reference point you return to again and again.
