Eric Clapton- Slowhand (SHM-CD) - Brand New - Audio CD (Quick Ship)

“Slowhand” is the moment Eric Clapton fully settled into his own skin. Originally released in 1977, this album captures a relaxed but razor-sharp Clapton, folding rock, blues, and country touches into songs that feel lived-in rather than showy. This SHM-CD edition gives that warmth and subtlety the extra clarity it deserves.

You get the essentials: “Cocaine” with its unhurried swagger, the tender ache of “Wonderful Tonight,” and the easy-rolling groove of “Lay Down Sally.” But the deeper cuts are just as rewarding—tracks like “The Core” and “Next Time You See Her” show a band so locked in that the songs seem to breathe on their own.

The SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) format is a real draw for collectors and attentive listeners. It doesn’t change the mix, but it does reveal more texture—the grain in Clapton’s voice, the ring of the Stratocaster, the interplay of the rhythm section—making this feel closer to a well-pressed LP than a standard disc.

If you love classic rock with soul, or you’re building a collection that maps the 1970s in all its nuance, this edition of “Slowhand” earns its place on the shelf and in regular rotation.
