Răga Khamăj · Răga Lalĭt - Ravi Shankar Used Vinyl LP Record

Pressed on His Master’s Voice in 1967, this Ravi Shankar LP feels like stepping into an intimate mehfil where every note has room to breathe. The record spins in Very Good Minus shape: a few light marks, but the sitar, tanpura, and tabla still rise clearly out of the groove with that warm, slightly smoky analog charm collectors chase. The cover’s in Poor condition—worn, scarred, and beautifully honest about the years it has survived—but that only adds to the sense that this copy has seen real listening, not just shelf time.

“Răga Khamăj” drapes the room in soft twilight tones, while “Răga Lalĭt” leans toward dawn, reflective and quietly intense. Together they make a perfect record for slow evenings, careful listening, or anyone building a serious Indian Classical shelf. If you’ve been hunting for an original-style Shankar LP that’s meant to be played, not just framed, this one hits the sweet spot between condition and character.
