Sarod Recital: Bageshri - Buddhadev Dasgupta Used Audio CD

This 1989 Meghaphone Audio CD captures Buddhadev Dasgupta in his element, letting Bageshri bloom slowly on sarod—unhurried, thoughtful, and quietly intense. The tone is woody and rounded, with every meend hanging in the air just long enough to tug at you. It feels like a front-row seat in a small Kolkata mehfil, not some polished studio product.

Both recordCondition and coverCondition are Very Good Minus: the disc has light cosmetic marks and the artwork shows gentle shelf wear, but playback is strong and the booklet still has that late‑80s charm. For listeners who love Indian Classical but prefer something meditative over flashy speed, this cd lands perfectly.

If you collect older Indian Classical cds, Meghaphone titles don’t surface every day, especially with a focused Bageshri recital from a maestro of this calibre. Buy Sarod Recital: Bageshri cd in Very Good Minus condition Today! and give your next quiet evening a rich, resonant soundtrack.
