Raga Bageshri / Raga Sohoni - Bismillah Khan Used Vinyl LP Record

Bismillah Khan on a 1963 His Master’s Voice pressing isn’t just another spin; it’s a quiet little miracle. This LP pairs Raga Bageshri and Raga Sohoni in long, unhurried shehnai explorations that bloom slowly, like a late-night riyaz you’ve accidentally walked into.

The record sits in Very Good Minus shape: a few light scuffs and gentle crackle in the quietest passages, but that warm, lived-in sound suits these evening ragas beautifully. The cover is also Very Good Minus, with the expected edge wear and age toning that only a six‑decade journey through living rooms and wooden cabinets can give.

There’s something grounding about hearing Khan saheb’s breath and reed work on an original HMV cut—the kind of detail that modern reissues often smooth away. If you’ve been building a serious Indian classical shelf, this belongs right next to your prized 60s pressings. Buy Raga Bageshri / Raga Sohoni vinyl LP in Very Good Minus condition Today! and let an old tanpura hum carry you through the night.
