Shehnai Nawaz Bismillah Khan - Bismillah Khan Used Vinyl LP Record

Pressed in 1964 on His Master’s Voice, this "Shehnai Nawaz Bismillah Khan" LP feels like a quiet time capsule from early All India Radio days. The cover has clearly seen some life — graded Poor, it carries scuffs, wear, and the kind of shelf-rub that tells you it’s been pulled out and played, not filed away. The record itself is the real treasure: graded Very Good Minus, with honest surface marks but a strong, full-bodied shehnai tone that still cuts through with warmth and clarity.

Bismillah Khan’s phrasing here is patient and soulful, the sort of playing you put on late in the evening when the house finally goes quiet. There’s a distinct charm to hearing this music on a slightly aged pressing; the light background texture only adds to the sense that you’re sitting a few rows back in an old concert hall. If you’ve been hunting for a playable mid-60s Bismillah Khan LP without the premium price tag of a near-mint copy, this one hits that sweet spot.
