Songs In The Attic - Billy Joel - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 14days)

Released in 1981, 'Songs In The Attic' captures Billy Joel at a unique crossroads: already a household name, he looks back to his formative years, giving new life to songs that predate his mainstream breakthrough. Rather than a greatest hits recap, this album is a celebration of deep cuts, performed live with a band honed by years on the road. Here, the intimacy of Joel’s early songwriting is matched with the electricity of a seasoned arena performer. Tracks like “Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway)” and “Captain Jack” are transformed—vivid, visceral, and brimming with the energy of a crowd that’s finally hearing these songs as they were meant to be experienced. 'Songs In The Attic' is more than a live album; it’s a document of artistic evolution, revealing how time, band chemistry, and Joel’s ever-deepening connection to his material can turn overlooked classics into essential listening. For vinyl collectors and fans of authentic storytelling in rock, this record offers a rare window into the heart of a songwriter rediscovering his own work, inviting listeners to witness the journey alongside him.
