Ustad Vilayat Khan - Vilayat Khan Used Vinyl LP Record

First thing you notice is the old His Master’s Voice label, then the faint ringwear that says this LP has stories. Press play and Ustad Vilayat Khan’s sitar eases in—rich, unhurried, with that 1969 analog warmth you just don’t get on reissues. The record is in Very Good Minus condition: a few light marks, soft surface noise in the quiet passages, but the sitar still sings clear and expressive. The cover, also Very Good Minus, shows honest shelf wear with intact seams and legible spine, perfect for a serious Indian Classical shelf. This isn’t a showpiece that stayed sealed; it’s a well-kept veteran that’s actually been heard and loved. If you’re building a core North Indian classical collection, an original HMV Ustad Vilayat Khan LP from this era is one of those records you reach for on slow evenings and never quite get tired of.
