Bengali vinyl records from the 1950s–70s represent some of the finest recordings ever made in India. The HMV Calcutta pressings from this era are exceptional — rich, warm, and incredibly detailed. Many of these recordings were made in a single take by musicians of extraordinary calibre, and the vinyl captures that live energy in a way that digital formats simply cannot.
